Terms & Conditions

These Terms bind you to BikePas (a BC sole proprietorship). By using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use our services.

1. Overview: What BikePas Provides

BikePas offers rescue, pickup/drop-off transport, and support for bicycles and e‑bikes in Metro Vancouver (UBC, Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster). Services include:

  • Pickup and drop-off for bikes/e-bikes

  • Limited rider transport to your destination (when safe and permitted)

  • Complimentary basic bike inspection

  • Membership plans with a set number of annual rescues

All services follow the conditions below.

2. Key Definitions

  • Account: Your registered BikePas profile

  • Primary User: The account holder (responsible for payment and conduct)

  • Authorized User: A household member added to your account

  • Bicycle/E-bike: A pedal or electric bike you own/lease/are authorized to use

  • Designated Zone: Metro Vancouver area (UBC, Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster)

  • Trip: One pickup + drop-off event (single-way)

  • Plan Year: 12 months from your registration/renewal date

  • Services: All transport, rescue, and membership services we provide

  • Website: www.bikepas.com

 

3. Who Can Use Services (Eligibility)

  • Must be 18+ (or age of majority) and live in the Designated Zone

  • Primary Users can add Authorized Users in the same household

  • Ages 13–17 may be included under a Primary User’s account with consent

  • You must provide accurate info and follow all laws

BikePas can reject/terminate accounts for misuse, false info, or unsafe conduct​ ​

4. Hours & Scheduling

  • Hours: Mon–Sat, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Sunday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (Pacific Time)

  • Request via: Website/form, member portal, chat box, or email (info@bikepas.com)

  • All trips must be confirmed by BikePas before dispatch

  • You (or a listed family member) must be present and the bike accessible​

 

5. Membership Plans & Usage

  • Each rescue/transport = 1 Trip (one-way)

  • Trips do not carry over; unused trips expire at Plan Year end

  • Additional trips: $64 each (or added via subscription)

  • Upgrades: Anytime; downgrades/cancellations not allowed within 14 days of renewal

  • Canceling an upgraded plan reverts to original tier; additional trips are non-refundable

 

​6. Fees, Billing & Payment

  • All fees in CAD, processed securely via Wix Payments

  • Memberships/trips are non-refundable except during the cooling-off period (see below)

  • Subscriptions auto-renew yearly unless canceled 14+ days before renewal

  • Taxes may apply based on billing address

  • Invalid payment info may result in suspension/termination

7. Cancellations, Refunds, Renewals, Termination

Cooling-Off Period (full refund if no trips used):

  • Basic: 3 days

  • Standard & Premium: 7 days

After cooling-off: memberships and services are non-refundable. BikePas may offer service credits for unused trips at its discretion.

Renewal: Auto-renews on anniversary date. Cancel 14+ days before to avoid renewal. Annual renewals are final.

Suspension/Termination: For misuse/fraud, non-payment, unsafe/abusive behavior, or breach of Terms.

8. Services Details & Limitations

We provide rescue and transport within the Designated Zone:

  • Pickup: On-demand (when available) or scheduled

  • Drop-off Transport: Rider + bike to a destination (driver discretion; safety first)

  • Basic Inspection: Visual mechanical/electrical check at pickup

  • Extended Coverage: Out-of-zone rescues available for a fee

We do NOT: provide medical assistance, towing, insurance, or guarantee repair/replacement of parts. All transport is at the driver’s discretion with safety as the priority.

9. Out-of-Zone Requests

  • May be accepted at BikePas’s discretion for an additional fee

  • Fees are confirmed before dispatch

10. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact/payment info

  • Be present/available at pickup time

  • Ensure the bike is accessible and safe for retrieval

  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized account use

We’re not responsible for delays due to incorrect addresses, inaccessible locations, your unavailability, traffic, road closures, construction, weather, or high demand elsewhere.

11. General Service Limitations

We only provide bike/e-bike transport and basic roadside assistance. We do not offer:

  • Emergency medical transport

  • Guaranteed repair/replacement of parts

  • Towing or storage

  • Insurance coverage

All services are subject to weather, road conditions, and safety; we may decline or reschedule at our discretion.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

Your data is managed through Wix (our service provider), which follows global data protection policies. We collect name, email, phone, address, and membership details to provide services. We do not sell or share your info except as required to operate through Wix. See our Privacy Policy for details.

13. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Services are provided “as is” without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BikePas is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; delays/interruptions; loss of property/income; or injuries during transport. Our total liability never exceeds the amount you paid in the current Plan Year.

14. Intellectual Property

All BikePas logos, branding, and content are our property and may not be copied/reproduced/distributed without written permission.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms anytime. Updated versions will be posted on the website with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use = acceptance of changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in BC courts.
