Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a binding legal agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and BikePas (“BikePas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a registered sole proprietorship operating in British Columbia, Canada. By accessing or using any of our services, website, or related features, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

1. Overview

BikePas provides members and customers with rescue, transport, and support services for bicycles and electric bicycles (“Bicycles” or “E-bikes”) within designated service zones. Services include:

  • Pick-up/drop-off for bicycles and e-bikes

  • Limited transportation of the rider to their drop-off destination (when permitted and safe)

  • Complimentary bicycle inspections

  • Membership plans offering a set number of annual rescues

 

All services are provided under the conditions and limitations described in these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • Account: A registered BikePas user profile created on our platform.

  • Authorized User: A household member designated by the Primary User to use the membership.

  • Bicycle/E-bike: A pedal or electric bicycle that the user owns, leases, or is authorized to operate.

  • Designated Zone: Metro Vancouver area, including UBC, Vancouver, Burnaby and New Westminster.

  • Trip: A single pick-up and drop-off event initiated by a user under a membership plan or single-service purchase.

  • Plan Year: The twelve-month period starting from your initial registration or renewal date.

  • Primary User: The account holder responsible for payment, registration, and authorized user conduct.

  • Services: All transportation, rescue, and membership services provided by BikePas.

  • Website: www.bikepas.com, owned and operated by BikePas.

 

3. Eligibility and User Requirements

  • Services are available to individuals 18 years or older residing within the Designated Zone.

  • Primary Users may add Authorized Users living in the same household. Users aged 13–17 may be included under a Primary User’s account with consent.

  • By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you:

    • Are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction

    • Will provide accurate and truthful information

    • Will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

 

BikePas may reject or terminate any account for misuse, false information, or unsafe conduct.

4. Description of Services

BikePas provides rescue and transport services for bicycles and e-bikes within the Designated Zone, including:

  • Pickup: On-demand (when available) or scheduled retrieval of bicycles experiencing mechanical, electrical, or operational issues.

  • Drop-off Transport: Transport of the rider with the Bicycle to a chosen destination within the zone, subject to driver discretion and safety

  • Complimentary Inspection: A basic check for visible mechanical or electrical issues upon pickup

  • Extended Coverage: Additional or out-of-zone rescues available for a fee

 

Limitations: BikePas does not provide medical assistance, towing, insurance, or guarantee repair/replacement of parts. All transportation is conducted at the driver’s discretion with safety as a priority.

5. Hours of Operation and Scheduling

  • Services operate Wednesday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Pacific Time).

  • Requests may be made via:

  • All trips must be confirmed by BikePas before dispatch. Users, or a listed family member, must be present, and the bicycle must be accessible.

 

6. Membership Plans and Usage

BikePas offers three annual membership plans:

Plan Included Trips Description:

Basic 2 per year. Ideal for occasional riders or local commuters

Standard 4 per year. Suitable for regular riders or delivery users

Premium 6 per year. Designed for frequent riders or e-bike professionals

  • Each rescue or transport event counts as one Trip.

  • Trips are one-way and cannot be carried over beyond the Plan Year.

  • Additional trips can be purchased for $70 per trip or added through your subscription plan.

  • Unused Trips expire at the end of the Plan Year and are non-transferable.

 

Upgrades and Downgrades:

  • Members may upgrade their plan at any time.

  • Canceling an upgraded plan reverts the membership to the original tier.

  • Additional Trips purchased during the upgrade are non-refundable, but Trips included in the original plan remain active until the end of the membership year.

  • BikePas may offer service credits for unused upgraded Trips at its discretion.

  • Upgrades cannot be canceled or downgraded within 14 days of renewal.

 

7. Out-of-Zone Service

  • Requests outside the Designated Zone may be accepted at BikePas’s discretion for an additional fee.

  • Fees are communicated at the time of scheduling and must be accepted before dispatch.

 

8. Fees, Billing, and Payment

  • All fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and processed securely via Wix Payments.

  • Membership and Trip fees are non-refundable, except as allowed during the cooling-off period (see Section 9).

  • Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless canceled at least 14 days before renewal.

  • BikePas may apply taxes based on your billing address. You authorize charges to your chosen payment method.

  • Failure to maintain valid payment information may result in suspension or termination of your account.

 

9. Cancellations, Refunds, Renewals, and Termination

Cooling-Off Period:

  • Members may cancel within the cooling-off period for a full refund, provided no Trips have been used:

    • Basic Plan: 3 days

    • Standard & Premium Plans: 7 days

 

Non-Refundable Fees:

  • After the cooling-off period, memberships and additional services are non-refundable.

  • BikePas may offer service credits for unused Trips, including upgrades, at its discretion.

 

Membership Renewal:

  • Memberships renew automatically on the anniversary date.

  • To avoid renewal, members must cancel at least 14 days before the renewal date.

  • Annual renewals are final and non-refundable.

 

Suspension or Termination:
BikePas may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Misuse or fraudulent activity

  • Failure to pay

  • Unsafe or abusive behavior toward staff

  • Breach of these Terms

 

10. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact and payment information

  • Be present or available at the pickup location at the confirmed time

  • Ensure the bicycle is accessible and in a safe location for retrieval

  • Notify BikePas immediately of unauthorized account use

 

BikePas is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses, inaccessible locations, unavailability at the scheduled time, or circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to heavy traffic, road closures, construction, adverse weather, or service demand in other areas at the time of request
 

11. Limitations of Service

BikePas’s services are limited to bicycle/e-bike transportation and basic roadside assistance. BikePas does not:

  • Offer emergency medical transport

  • Guarantee repair or replacement of parts

  • Provide towing or storage

  • Offer insurance coverage

 

All rescues and transports are subject to weather, road conditions, and safety considerations. BikePas may decline or reschedule service at its discretion.

​12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. All information collected through our website, forms, and payment systems is managed by Wix, our service provider, which adheres to global data protection and cookie policies.

BikePas collects your name, email, phone number, address, and membership details for the purpose of providing and managing Services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to operate through Wix. Data retention and deletion follow Wix’s standard retention policies. For details, refer to the BikePas Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

BikePas provides its Services “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BikePas shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;

  • Delays or service interruptions;

  • Loss of property or income; or

  • Injuries sustained during transport.

 

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the current Plan Year.

14. Intellectual Property

All logos, branding, website content, and materials related to BikePas are the property of BikePas and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.

15. Modifications to Terms

BikePas reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with the “Last Updated” date revised. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
